TSE Industries, a family-owned leader in custom plastics and rubber manufacturing in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Rubber Mill Operator. In this hands-on role, you will operate rubber milling equipment to mix and refine rubber compounds used in demanding industrial, chemical, and defense applications. Responsibilities include setting up and monitoring mills, loading materials, inspecting output, and maintaining accurate production records while following strict safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Operate rubber milling equipment to mix, refine, and process rubber compounds to specifications
- Set up, adjust, and monitor mill settings, temperatures, and speeds for consistent quality
- Load raw materials and safely remove finished rubber sheets or batches
- Inspect materials during production, identifying defects and making basic corrections
- Follow detailed work instructions, production schedules, and quality standards
- Complete production logs and basic computer entries for tracking and traceability
- Perform routine cleaning and minor preventive maintenance on mill equipment
- Use hand tools, measuring tools, and gauges to verify dimensions and consistency
- Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout, PPE, and housekeeping standards
- Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes
Required Skills
- Rubber mill or industrial machine operation
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting
- Use of measuring tools (calipers, gauges, tape measures)
- Reading and following work orders and production specs
- Quality inspection of rubber materials
- Lockout/tagout and industrial safety practices
- Material handling and lifting techniques
- Basic computer or data entry for production reporting
- Preventive maintenance on production equipment
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for rubber or plastics
