TSE Industries, a family-owned manufacturer in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Rubber Molding Operator to run rubber molding presses producing custom parts for demanding industrial markets. You will set up molds, load materials, monitor curing cycles, and inspect finished components for quality and accuracy. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety and work instructions. You'll collaborate with a supportive team, help improve processes, and gain exposure to advanced plastics and rubber technologies in a stable, growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate rubber molding presses and related manufacturing equipment according to work orders and specifications
- Set up molds, load raw rubber materials, and monitor curing cycles for quality and consistency
- Inspect molded parts for defects, dimensions, and surface quality; perform basic trimming and finishing
- Record production data, batch information, and inspection results accurately
- Follow safety, housekeeping, and 5
- S practices to maintain a clean, organized work area
- Work closely with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes
- Perform basic equipment checks and notify maintenance of any mechanical concerns
- Read and follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality guidelines
- Support continuous improvement, scrap reduction, and efficiency initiatives
- Adhere to company policies while contributing to a collaborative, family-oriented culture
Required Skills
- Rubber molding machine operation
- Press setup and mold changeover
- Reading production work orders
- Use of calipers and basic measuring tools
- Quality inspection of molded parts
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting
- Understanding of curing temperatures and cycle times
- Safe material handling and PPE use
- Following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Basic recordkeeping and production reporting
