T S E INDUSTRIES INC., a family-owned leader in engineered plastics and rubber, is seeking a Chemical Operator I for our Tampa, FL manufacturing facility. In this hands-on role, you'll operate and monitor chemical processing equipment, follow batch instructions, and ensure safe, high-quality production of polyurethane, thermoplastic, and polymer products. Responsibilities include measuring and blending materials, recording process data, assisting with changeovers, and maintaining housekeeping and safety standards.

Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust chemical processing equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Follow batch instructions, production schedules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Measure, load, and mix raw materials according to specifications and safety guidelines
- Record production data, process conditions, and material usage accurately
- Perform routine equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and minor adjustments
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality regulations, including PPE and housekeeping
- Assist with product changeovers, sampling, packaging, and labeling of finished goods
- Communicate issues, maintenance needs, and process deviations to supervisors and maintenance
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and quality standards
- Participate in training and continuous improvement activities to enhance processes and skills
Required Skills
- Chemical processing operations
- Batch mixing and material handling
- Reading and following SOPs and work instructions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting
- Use of measuring tools, scales, and gauges
- Process monitoring and data recording
- Safe handling of chemicals and PPE use
- Lockout/tagout and basic safety practices
- Quality checks and documentation
- Forklift or material handling equipment operation
