Position: CHEMICAL OPERATOR I

T S E INDUSTRIES INC., a family-owned leader in engineered plastics and rubber, is seeking a Chemical Operator I for our Tampa, FL manufacturing facility. In this hands-on role, you'll operate and monitor chemical processing equipment, follow batch instructions, and ensure safe, high-quality production of polyurethane, thermoplastic, and polymer products. Responsibilities include measuring and blending materials, recording process data, assisting with changeovers, and maintaining housekeeping and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust chemical processing equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Follow batch instructions, production schedules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Measure, load, and mix raw materials according to specifications and safety guidelines
  • Record production data, process conditions, and material usage accurately
  • Perform routine equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and minor adjustments
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality regulations, including PPE and housekeeping
  • Assist with product changeovers, sampling, packaging, and labeling of finished goods
  • Communicate issues, maintenance needs, and process deviations to supervisors and maintenance
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and quality standards
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement activities to enhance processes and skills
