Description:
CNC LASER AND BRAKE OPERATOR We are seeking an experienced CNC Laser and Brake operator, this role is responsible for programing, operating and maintaining Fiber Optic CNC Laser cutter and break press machines to produce high-quality products out of thin gauge aluminum and sheet metal.
Duties and Responsibilities Set up and run jobs on the CNC laser and the break press machines based on work orders.
Program the CNC machines as required by the shop drawings and the work order specifications. Ensure all tolerances and dimensions are correct.
Select and load correct materials per the work orders.
Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure parts are coming out correctly.
Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs).
Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records.
Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner. Requirements:
Technical certification in CNC Machining Technologies is preferred, will consider relevant experience (minimum of 3 years).
Must be experienced and confident in setting up and operating Fiber Optic CNC Laser machines. (We have a 12kw machine that runs on oxygen).
Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can-do metric to imperial conversions.
Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts.
OSHA 10-hour Physical Demands: Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds. The ability to stand up a total of 10-12 hours, with breaks, while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time. Stations have anti-fatigue mats and stools available when needed.
