• This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic, mixternal communications across the health system to effectively engage team members, providers, and key audiences.
• The individual will lead the creation and management of system-wide communication channels—including web portals, digital newsletters, social media, video content, events, and more—ensuring consistent, on-brand messaging.
• Key responsibilities include writing, editing, publishing, and distributing communications across multiple platforms; analyzing performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness; and recommending continuous improvements to communication strategies.
• This role also supports governance of Bay Care’s digital platforms, such as Team Bay Care, the Providers Portal, and BCTV, in addition to external channels.
• The Communications Strategist partners closely with the broader Communications Department and cross‑functional teams to advance strategic initiatives and enhance storytelling through engaging digital content—including web pages, graphics, banners, social assets, and screensavers.
• Additional responsibilities include managing email databases, optimizing usability and user experience, training internal stakeholders on content platforms, and serving as a trusted advisor on communications best practices and brand alignment.

• Experience:
• Required:
  
  7+ years of communications experience within a healthcare provider, corporate environment, or agency.
• Preferred: 3+ years working with healthcare subject matter and/or content management platforms.
• Skills:
• Strong writing and copy editing abilities.
• Experience with SharePoint required.
• Education:
• Required:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Preferred:
  Master’s degree in a related field.
