Overview
We have an immediate need for an experienced LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to cover the North or South Pinellas territory for Medicare Certified Home Health. This is a PRN, per diem W-2 position with flexible scheduling when possible. If you live outside of the area, note that it is PRN.

A qualified Licensed Practical Nurse administers skilled nursing care to patients in their place of residence on an intermittent basis. This is performed under physician orders and the plan of care, under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Services are furnished in accordance with Agency policies, with care provided in each client’s home, ensuring comfort, dignity, excellence, compassion, and respect for all clients and their families.
Qualifications- Current unrestricted LPN license in Florida
- CPR certification
- TB test clearance
- AHCA Level 2 background check
- Health Statement/physical clearing to work
- Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience (preferred)
- Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment
- Proficient wound care skills
- Acceptance of the philosophy and goals of the agency
- Adhere to established policies and procedures and implement the nursing care plan for each patient
- Provide nursing services, treatments, and diagnostic/preventive procedures as assigned
- Initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate
- Observe signs and symptoms and report to the physician and RN reactions to treatments, including drugs and changes in the patient’s condition
- Educate and counsel patients and families regarding nursing care needs and related problems at home
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing services with the RN guidance
- Maintain accurate and complete records of observations, treatments, and care
- Attend staff meetings, patient care conferences, and in-services as scheduled
- Submit schedule changes to the Director of Nursing daily
- Assist the patient in learning appropriate self-care techniques
- Maintain highly flexible schedules and provide reliable coverage
