Licensed Practical Nurse Unit Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Vivo Healthcare Harbourwood Clearwater, FL. As a Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing units, providing exceptional patient care, and coordinating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and assessing patient needs
  • Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and provide education to patients and families
  • Supervise and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure providing high-quality patient care
  • Manage unit resources, including staffing, supplies, and equipment
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit efficiency
  • Collaborate with other departments, including admissions, social services, and dietary to ensure seamless transitions and optimal care

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
