Your New Role At Bend BioscienceIn this role, you will conduct microbiological and environmental monitoring testing for a parenteral manufacturing facility, including utility testing in accordance with United States and European Union standards (ISO 14644, Annex
1). The Microbiologist I will interpret test results to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory expectations. He or she will follow company policies and procedures to maintain consistent laboratory operations and perform general laboratory duties and clean equipment to support a safe and organized work environment.
- Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and drug products in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct environmental monitoring of ISO-classified areas, including hoods, utilities, and cleanroom environments.
- Execute product suitability assessments and validation activities to support microbiological control strategies.
- Participate in microbiology investigations related to testing and environmental monitoring, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Draft, revise, and maintain department protocols, reports, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment to support reliable and consistent testing operations.
- Adhere to gowning requirements and aseptic techniques while working in ISO-classified areas.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and testing timelines associated with assigned projects.
- Demonstrate professionalism and alignment with company culture through reliable attendance and respectful interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Operate, clean, and set up role related equipment and environment in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Professional Conduct and Workplace Culture:

- Bachelor’s in microbiology, biology or related discipline
- Generally, one (1) year of related experience
