Retail General Manager

Are you a proven retail leader with a passion for driving growth, developing talent, and delivering exceptional customer experiences? We're looking for a Retail General Manager to lead the strategic and operational direction of our retail stores. In this high-impact role, you'll work directly with company leadership to shape sales strategies, elevate store performance, and build a strong culture of accountability and excellence across a multi-location retail network.

This position is a salary + commissioned role with amounts to be discussed based on experience during the interview process.

• Drive weekly sales performance through goal alignment and execution.
• Analyze trends and forecast sales in collaboration with Finance and Leadership.
• Co-develop commission structures and growth initiatives that motivate teams and meet budget goals.

• Ensure brand consistency across stores through high merchandising standards and seasonal floor sets.
• Manage store promotions and inspect locations for operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

• Lead monthly Store Manager meetings to support alignment and engagement.
• Own the full hiring lifecycle for store leadership roles, including training and development.
• Design product knowledge and customer engagement programs that drive results.

• Serve as a key escalation point for complex customer issues.
• Manage vendor partnerships and oversee CSI programs to ensure service excellence.
• Support resolution of claims and lien issues when necessary.

• Monitor store budgets and P&L performance for efficiency and profitability.
• Work with store leaders to reduce aged inventory and improve stock turnover.
• Participate in corporate strategy discussions and retail growth planning.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
• 7–10+ years of experience in multi-unit retail management
• Proven leadership in sales, team development, and operational excellence
• Strong analytical, forecasting, and budget management skills
• Confident communicator and problem-solver with a collaborative mindset
• Flooring industry experience is a plus
