Job DescriptionAllied Universal is hiring Armed Security Professionals for "Arrestee Transport" positions. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Law Enforcement Officer (civilian or military) or 2 years of experience in corrections. State certifications from a Police Academy or Corrections Academy (retired or active) are required. Positions are available on a full‑time or part‑time basis. Minimum age: 21 years.
A valid driver’s license in the job state is required. Successful candidates must pass Allied and client background checks, including MVR. D and G training is provided at no cost.
- Inspect and prepare transportation vehicles for daily operation; perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections; complete required paperwork for any damage or defects.
- Conduct pat‑down searches and ensure that individuals are properly secured before leaving a facility and while in the vehicle. Prepare and submit all required paperwork accurately when accepting individuals at a facility and delivering them to their appropriate destinations.
- Operate vehicles safely, following all applicable federal, state, municipal, and organizational laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Respond to emergencies and make emergency notifications as necessary, pursuant to site post orders.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid driver’s license.
- Possess, or be able to obtain, a Class D / Security Officer License issued by the State of Florida.
- Minimum of two (2) years of driving experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following: law enforcement, military police, or corrections.
- Effective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately.
- Active listening skills.
- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
- Attention to detail and ability to synthesize facts, concepts, and principles.
- Teamwork skills; able to mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.
- Possession of a current and valid Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger endorsement.
- Fluency in multiple languages (reading, writing, and speaking).
