Apartment Maintenance Technician (HVAC Focus)

Essential Staffing Solutions (ESS) is seeking reliable, hardworking, and self‑motivated Apartment Maintenance Technicians with strong HVAC experience to support multifamily apartment communities.

This is a multifamily apartment maintenance role, not an HVAC‑only position. The Apartment Maintenance Technician (HVAC Focus) is responsible for maintaining HVAC systems and performing general apartment maintenance duties, including work orders, unit turns, and make‑ready processes.

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in occupied and vacant units
• Prepare units for new residents (make‑ready/punch process)
• Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally
• Repair major appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers
• Perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs
• Maintain community curb appeal and cleanliness
• Assist with renovation or property upgrade projects as needed

• EPA Universal Certification (required – no exceptions)
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on apartment or multifamily maintenance experience
• Must own personal tools and HVAC gauges
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance skills
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and unit make‑ready processes
• Ability to pass a background check
