Job SummaryPiper Fire Protection is seeking a motivated and skilled Fire Sprinkler Foreman to support our Construction and Operations teams at our Clearwater, FL office. This role is responsible for leading onsite installation activities related to fire sprinkler systems, including piping layout, installation, and system components in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes. The Foreman ensures all work is performed safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting Piper Fire Protection quality standards and project schedules.
The ideal candidate is task‑oriented, team‑focused, and possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal. This position plays a key leadership role in coordinating field efforts, mentoring team members, and maintaining professionalism with both internal teams and external customers.
- Lead the installation of fire sprinkler systems, including overhead and underground piping, valves, hangers, and related components.
- Coordinate field activities with other trades and ensure proper sequencing of work on construction projects.
- Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and hydraulic calculations to ensure accurate installation and compliance with project requirements.
- Supervise field crews, assign daily tasks, and ensure labor, materials, and equipment are available and used efficiently.
- Oversee layout and installation of sprinkler systems per NFPA standards and local code requirements.
- Train, mentor, and develop Fitters and Helpers to meet Piper Fire Protection standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Designers, General Contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Identify field changes, conflicts, or scope gaps; collaborate with Project Managers to support change orders and project adjustments.
- Perform quality control checks and inspections to ensure installations meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate job documentation, including daily reports and as-built drawings.
- Promote and enforce jobsite safety practices in compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Stay current on industry standards, code updates, and best practices through training and professional development.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of demonstrated experience in fire sprinkler system installation, including hands‑on field work and foreman or lead-level responsibilities.
- Strong working knowledge of wet, dry, pre‑action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems.
