Experienced Utility Locator

We’re currently hiring for Experienced Locator Technicians in Clearwater, FL
. Starting wage from $21/hour and more with experience.

Line locators work under the direction of their company supervisor, performing visual inspection of predefined construction areas and reading and interpreting utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities. Using special electronic equipment, they locate and protect utilities such as gas, electric, water, cable, sewer and more from being damaged.

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Must successfully pass pre‑employment screenings: drug test, background check and driving record
• Subject to random drug testing in compliance with DOT guidelines after employment

• Outdoor work environment: up to 10‑12 miles of walking on varied terrain
• Driving company vehicle to and from work sites
• Schedule is M‑F, 7:30 am‑4 pm; weekends as needed

• Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests
• Develop a general knowledge of state and local damage prevention regulations
• Learn and apply safety measures related to motor vehicle operation and other field‑related matters
