Suncoast Center is seeking a Family Social Wellness Lead Coordinator to join our growing team. The position requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, client‑centered environment.
Position SummaryThe Family Wellness Coordinator Team Leader is responsible for coordinating and guiding a team of Family Wellness Coordinators in their efforts to promote and enhance the well‑being of youth and their families. This position involves providing guidance, support, and coordination to ensure the effective implementation of family‑focused events and programming, initiatives, and activities that foster positive relationships, communication, social connectedness, and community engagement.
The Team Leader plays a critical role in organizing, coordinating and aligning the team’s actions.
- Team Leadership:
Provide strong leadership to the Family Wellness Coordinator team, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment. Set clear goals, expectations, and priorities, and ensure effective communication within the team. Ensure all activities and events are well published, well documented, well run, and well‑coordinated. - Program Development and Coordination:
Become a knowledge expert on the CDC Resource for Action on Suicide Prevention, utilizing the framework to guide the team in developing and implementing youth and family‑focused activities and initiatives that promote social wellness. Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and community needs. - Provide guidance and support to Family Wellness Coordinators. Direct and approve event materials, offer mentorship, and address any challenges or concerns that arise. Foster professional growth and development within the team.
- Collaboration and Partnerships:
Serve as a liaison on the Youth and Family subcommittee of the Zero Suicide Partners of Pinellas. Foster strong relationships and collaborations with Suncoast Center staff and community organizations, local agencies, and stakeholders. Seek opportunities for partnerships and leverage resources to enhance the impact of family social wellness initiatives. - Resource Development:
Facilitate resource development by coordinating with the team and the Zero Suicide Partners of Pinellas communications specialist to curate materials, toolkits, and educational resources for families. Ensure resources are relevant, accessible, and tailored to meet diverse family needs. - Evaluation and Reporting:
Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of family social wellness programs and initiatives. Analyze data, measure outcomes, and generate reports to assess effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and communicate impact to stakeholders. - Accept Direction from Leadership:
Follow the leadership of the Total Family Strategy Manager, providing regular updates on the team’s progress, challenges, and successes. Contribute to strategic planning and decision‑making processes related to family wellness initiatives.
Education:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Family Studies, Education, or a related field.
Licensure:
Not required.
Experience:
Must be able to assist families struggling with multiple stressors and child welfare issues. Understanding of community resources and social support development is required.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others towards achieving common goals.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with team members, stakeholders, and community partners.
- Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation, with a focus on family wellness and community engagement.
