Warehouse Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assists with the day‑to‑day needs of the residential facility and maintains the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area.
• Assists with setup for special events, performs routine labor to support the daily operation of the Social Services residential facility and warehouse.
• Obtains, receives, organizes and assists with food distribution and other items.
• Helps coordinate warehouse activities, including setup and logistics for moving donated food items and organizing space as needed.
• Monitors the arrival and distribution of donations and supplies, ensuring items reach the appropriate destination in a timely manner.
• Monitors the supply of items in the warehouse to determine areas needing additional stock.
• Participates in packing items into boxes, ensures boxes are marked correctly, and assists in transporting boxes to the appropriate warehouse area.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience performing general labor/custodial duties, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Valid State Driver’s license.
• Forklift license or certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift and move supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform strenuous work involving lifting and carrying heavy objects.
• Capacity to work outdoors and in residential and warehouse environments with exposure to weather changes, noise, dust and dirt.
