Our client, a leader in the manufacturing and distribution of life science research products and specialty chemicals, is actively searching for a skilled Accountant to play a pivotal role in their newly acquired company. As an integral member of their finance team, you will be the key liaison to corporate, spearheading accounting initiatives to elevate efficiency and precision.

As an Accountant, you will streamline financial processes and contribute to the success of our growing enterprise. Your responsibilities will include conducting general accounting functions, providing crucial support to local leadership, and ensuring a seamless integration of financial systems.

We are seeking an individual with a strong background in accounting, particularly in a manufacturing environment, with a general understanding of Standard Cost Accounting (product cost accounting).

Responsibilities include:

+ General Accounting support

+ Liaison to corporate for the recent acquisition providing accounting support

+ Maintenance of Trial balance/General Ledger/Monthly Closing support

+ Completion of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, cash management

+ Financial analysis and reporting to corporate, follow up on financial and operational variances

+ Support to local leadership

+ Other tasks as directed by corporate finance team

+ Cost accounting in a manufacturing environment is a must (manufacturing product standard costing vs services or job costing)

+ Utilization of Quick Books for accounting
