Construction Safety Manager

Location: Cleburne, TX

Duration: 4-6 Months (Immediate Start)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $52/hr

Per Diem: $125/Day

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 Hours Per Week | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

This role offers the opportunity to provide safety leadership during high-risk construction activities involving structural steel erection, complex rigging operations, critical lifts, heavy equipment installation, and precision machinery placement.

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced safety professional with a strong technical understanding of lift planning, rigging configurations, crane operations, and steel erection who can actively support field operations and ensure complex installations are completed safely.

Required Qualifications
  • OSHA 510 Certification
  • Minimum 7 years of construction safety experience
  • Strong background in rigging, structural steel erection, and heavy industrial construction
  • Experience overseeing complex lifts and coordinated erection activities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Heavy industrial manufacturing experience
  • Machinery installation or equipment setting experience
  • Experience reviewing engineered lift plans
  • Signal Person or Qualified Rigger experience
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
What You'll Be Doing
  • Oversee daily safety activities for heavy industrial construction and equipment installation
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Monitor structural steel erection and machinery installation activities
  • Review and support complex lift plans and rigging operations
  • Monitor crane operations, lift angles, rigging configurations, and coordinated picks
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), lift plans, permits, and pre-task plans
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Promote a positive safety culture across the project
