CAD Designer

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys residential design, working closely with construction teams, and seeing their drawings come to life in the field. The company values practical experience, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach over formal titles.

• Create and revise residential construction drawings and house plans
• Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
• Coordinate plan changes with project managers, estimators, and construction teams
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes and company standards
• Maintain drawing accuracy throughout the design and construction process
• Assist with plan modifications based on client selections and field feedback
• Support the design team with drafting and documentation as required

• Experience producing residential construction drawings
• Understanding of residential construction methods and building practices
• Ability to interpret sketches, markups, and design concepts into working plans
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

• Experience using Soft Plan would be highly desirable
• However, candidates with strong residential drafting experience using other CAD platforms will be considered, with Soft Plan training provided for the right individual
• Experience working for a custom home builder, residential designer, or architectural practice is advantageous

• Salary of $80,000 – $90,000
