James Hardie Engineer Development Program (EDP) is a two-year training program created for engineering graduates seeking to build a strong foundation for their career at James Hardie. The program is designed to deepen your knowledge through hands-on learning, practical training, professional collaboration, and ongoing mentorship across manufacturing, corporate, and innovation-focused environments. James Hardie’s dynamic culture and pursuit of innovation create a supportive environment where you are encouraged to be creative and inquisitive, assertive and proactive, collaborative and resourceful.
What You’ll Do:First Year
:
You will participate in rotational training at one of James Hardie’s U.S. manufacturing locations. You will gain hands-on learning and immersive experience across the fiber cement and/or polymer composite manufacturing processes, with exposure to James Hardie’s innovation culture, professional development opportunities, and plant operations.
Deliverables: You will be empowered to apply acquired knowledge and skills to meaningful projects that support manufacturing process design, reliability, operations, optimization, and continuous improvement.
Second Year: After finishing the rotational program, you will be assigned to a role at one of our North American James Hardie locations supporting our Operations function.

Paper Science, Polymer Science, Material Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering - Willing and able to relocate to any of our U.S. manufacturing plants, R&D locations, or corporate facilities, including but not limited to Supply Chain, Advanced Manufacturing, Central Engineering, and other business-critical functions, as part of your commitment to career development and program growth
