OverviewTITLE: SEAL Program Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Special Projects Manager
LOCATION: North Central Texas Workforce Solutions
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Temporary - Full-Time, Non-Exempt
- Responsible for coordinating, communicating, and implementing activities and services related to the VR SEAL program. This position works jointly with the VR SEAL Lead to implement training and placement support for VR SEAL trainees through the SEAL Summer Work Experience Program.
- Coordinate, communicate with SEAL trainees and guardians (if applicable) to provide information needed for successful and compliant Work Experience engagement.
- Conduct Work Readiness training with VR customers in compliance with the SEAL Plan.
- Assist in matching SEAL customers with available SEAL worksites.
- Process SEAL participants for enrollment in the ADP system and assist with enrollment activities and documentation for compliant SEAL enrollment; guide customers on wage payment system enrollment steps.
- Schedule and conduct New Hire Orientations and Worksite Supervisor Orientations; document orientations as required.
- Complete worksite visit documentation timely and completely; manage and analyze work experience activities to ensure policy and procedure compliance; oversee worksite activities to ensure Child Labor Law compliance.
- Coordinate, pick up, and process timesheets; coordinate payroll distribution if needed; resolve paycheck and timesheet issues with administrative staff and SEAL customers/guardians.
- Track and document outcomes and manage contractual goals related to the SEAL Program; obtain and review employer performance evaluations and take appropriate actions when needed.
- Maintain a proactive, positive mindset and perform other duties and projects as needed.
- Minimum:
High school diploma or GED required - Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree (4-year) or higher, or at least four (4) years of combined education and relevant experience - 2+ years of work experience combining elements of training, counseling, case management, or other services
- Substantial case management experience and ability to read and interpret policies and procedures
- Experience working successfully with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base in a culturally sensitive fashion
- Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them toward achieving goals
- Personal computer literacy including Internet, e-mail, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A Valid Driver’s License
- Travel: 15% within and outside the designated worksite
