Job Overview
To perform a variety of semi-skilled manual duties requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment and safety precautions. In addition, to perform welding procedures, including fabrication and assembly, in compliance with WN welding procedures and WN engineering drawings. To perform preventative maintenance of welding machinery. To adhere to the general safety plan. May be required to do other duties as requested by supervisor.
Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgement. Performs work at a quality level consistent with Wabash National standard practice. Supervised by supervisor, general foreman, manager or department head.
- Welding of aluminum, carbon and stainless steel
- Cutting torch

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Basic reading, writing, & verbal skills
- Experience and education are a plus; however, it’s not required. Wabash provides training for all assembler positions. Upon receiving an offer letter from us, you’ll undergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.

The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites where the noise level can be very loud with high temperatures to the work environment, all employees on the production floor must wear the necessary personal production equipment (PPE). Demands
As an Welder, you are regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle, and operate tools or controls for the entirety of your shift. The employee needs full range of motion in arms and hands, all Welders must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some assemblers also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects weighting up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination.
