CNC Laser Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting equipment to produce quality parts according to specifications.
• Load and run programs on Mazak laser machines while ensuring optimal machine performance.
• Utilize Radan nesting software to maximize material usage and minimize waste.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, and product quality throughout the production process.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet production goals.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of CNC laser operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating Mazak laser cutting machines required.
• Proficiency with Radan nesting software or similar CAD/CAM nesting programs.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and laser gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve minor operational issues.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift and material-handling experience preferred.
