Project ScopeThis position provides safety oversight for the installation of proprietary machinery within a heavy industrial environment. The Safety Manager will oversee high risk activities involving rigging, steel erection, and complex coordinated lifts.
The role requires strong technical understanding of lift planning, rigging configurations, lift angles, and steel installation practices. The Safety Manager will provide active field oversight to ensure complex picks and erection activities are executed safely and in compliance with all safety requirements.
Qualifications- OSHA 510 required
- Minimum 7 years of safety experience
- Strong background in rigging, steel erection, and heavy industrial work
- Experience overseeing complex lifts and coordinated erection activities
- Ability to review and oversee lift plans
- Working knowledge of rigging practices and lift angles
- Understanding of welds and steel installation standards
- Strong field presence with hands on safety oversight
- Ability to communicate effectively with crews and site leadership
- Proactive approach to hazard identification and risk control
- Serve as on site safety authority for heavy industrial installation activities
- Oversee and evaluate lift plans and rigging operations
- Monitor steel erection and welding activities for safe execution
- Provide safety oversight for complex and coordinated picks
- Conduct field safety inspections and hazard assessments
- Enforce OSHA compliance and site specific safety requirements
- Stop unsafe work and implement corrective actions as needed
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
- Strong knowledge of heavy industrial and construction safety
- Proven experience supporting rigging and steel erection activities
- Ability to manage high risk work environments
- Clear communication and sound safety judgment in the field
Expertise in OSHA regulatory compliance, heavy industrial safety management, rigging operations, crane and lift safety, steel erection practices, weld awareness, hazard analysis, and field safety oversight.
