The Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Clemmons, NC, responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations for window and door projects. This role coordinates installation schedules, supervises installation crews, and ensures work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with company quality standards. The Superintendent conducts site visits, verifies measurements and specifications, and works closely with project managers, suppliers, and customers to resolve issues and maintain clear communication.
Responsibilities include managing materials and equipment, enforcing safety protocols, and documenting project progress and field conditions. The role also supports training of field staff, promotes best practices, and helps maintain strong customer relationships through professional, solution-oriented service.
- Field supervision and construction management skills, including coordinating crews, managing schedules, and overseeing on-site workflows.
- Knowledge of window and door installation methods, building codes, and job-site safety practices.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage multiple projects, materials, and timelines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers, installers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address site challenges and maintain project quality.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, measurements, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency with basic digital tools (email, project tracking software, mobile apps) for documentation and reporting.
- Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or window and door installation is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or trade training is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site full-time, perform physical tasks related to construction environments, and maintain a valid driver’s license.
