JOB SUMMARYPart‑time Office Assistant to assist the Lead Administrative Assistant in the Extension office for 20 hours per week. Handle daily calls, walk‑in customers, and processing of various samples. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES- 50% - Assist walk in clientele by answering questions and routing phone calls to appropriate staff members.
- 40% - Assist clientele with soil samples and plant problem submissions. Prepare and process various samples for mailing and/or delivery.
- 10% - Assist office staff as needed with program preparation and activities.

Minimum RequirementsA high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVELNormal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
