Drumline Instructor – Clemson University Tiger Band (Part Time)
Job SummaryThe Drumline Instructor for the Clemson University Tiger Band, working with the Director of Percussion and the band directors at Clemson, coordinates auditions, rehearsals, and performances for the Tiger Band Drumline during the fall semester and other events during the spring semester. Attends all home football games and away games that involve the full band. Coordinates other events throughout the season.
Other duties as assigned.
- 50% – Essential – Leads rehearsals for all percussion students that participate in the Clemson University Tiger Band Drumline.
- 25% – Essential – Coaches performances at all Clemson University football games and other events throughout the season as well as other events in the spring semester.
- 10% – Essential – Arranges percussion music for the Tiger Band Drumline.
- 10% – Essential – Maintains Clemson University Tiger Band Drumline website.
- 5% – Essential – Schedules, coordinates and runs Tiger Band Drumline auditions in the spring/summer for the following fall football season. Judges video auditions.
- Education – Bachelor’s Degree with relevant program experience.

No supervisory duties – Not responsible for supervising employees.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No budget responsibilities – No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
Physical Requirements- 50% – Stand for prolonged period.

Standard
Hours:
7.5 (part‑time)
Expected Hourly Rate: $21.78. Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson’s compensation guidelines.
Essential Personnel LevelNormal Operations. Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected to work on‑site during emergency situations.
