Grants Coordinator II — Full Time — JR-10136
Supports the successful acquisition of funding by streamlining administrative processes so researchers can focus on proposal writing and project development. Provides pre-award service by assisting with grant proposal preparation, budget development, compliance, review, and submissions. Ensures applications meet sponsor requirements. Current Assignment:
College of Science.
- Budget Management:
Assists with the preparation and review of grant budgets at the submission stage and required budget revisions prior to award. Ensures budgets are compliant with Federal, institutional, and sponsor policies. - Proposal Development Assistance:
Assists with the assembly of grant application packages according to sponsor guidelines, federal regulations, and University policy. Assists with coordination of subawards and collaborations. - Ensures Compliance:
Verifies adherence to Federal and institutional policies and sponsor requirements with attention to detail. - Documentation and Record Management:
Maintains proper data organization and retention of grant files, correspondence with sponsors, and tracking of deadlines. Communicates with faculty and other support staff to clarify requirements and updates. - Editorial and Technical Support:
Performs administrative review of grant applications for formatting, completeness, consistency, and adherence to sponsor and institutional requirements. Provides technical support for the University s electronic proposal development and submission systems. Assists with proposal routing and submission through sponsor and institutional platforms.
A bachelor s degree and experience in business, personnel, grant-in-aid or public administration.
Responsibilities and KnowledgeJob knowledge:
Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures and the ability to apply them in varied situations.
Supervisory responsibilities:
Not responsible for supervising employees.
Fiscal responsibilities for the department s budget, including financial planning and managing fund allocation.

Expected Salary Range: $57,700.00 – $80,800.00. Salary is dependent upon factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and performance in accordance with Clemson s compensation guidelines.
