Assistant Director, College Preparation & Outreach

Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of College Preparation & Outreach supports the design, coordination, and implementation of initiatives that promote college access, academic readiness, and student success. The Assistant Director also contributes to curriculum development and assists in planning and delivering high school academic-year and summer programming.
- 35% – Essential – Academic-Year Programming & Student Engagement:
Coordinates and supports academic-year programming for high school and middle school students, including recruitment, programming coordination, and relationship management with schools and district partners, workshops, enrichment activities, and outreach events. Assists with scheduling and student engagement efforts to ensure high-quality program delivery, supporting early college awareness and academic readiness for students. - 30% – Essential – Summer Programming Support:
Assists in the planning and delivery of CPO summer programming, student supervision support, and coordination with internal staff and partners. Supports smooth implementation of summer experiences aligned with program goals. - 20% – Essential – Curriculum Development & Operational Support:
Contributes to curriculum development efforts for high school and middle school programs and supports general program operations, assessment activities, and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the CPO leadership team. - 10% – Essential – Assessment & Operations:
Contributes to assessment activities and general program operational support. Assists with data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts in collaboration with CPO leadership. - 5% – Essential – Other Duties as Assigned:
Performs other duties as assigned to fulfill the mission of the Department and Division.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1+ years of experience in student services programs
- Master’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience in student services programs
- Job Knowledge:
Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use them in varied situations. - Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory duties – Not responsible for supervising employees. - Budgetary Responsibilities:
No budget responsibilities – No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $39,300 – $55,000
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
