Position OverviewThe Department of Philosophy and Religion at Clemson University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy, a one‑year position renewable for up to 3 years. Employment to begin August 15, 2026
. Ph.D. in Philosophy required at that time. AOS:
Philosophy of law, AOC open.
Responsibilities
- Teach core courses in the Law, Liberty, and Justice concentration of the philosophy major:
Intro to Law, Liberty, and Justice;
Philosophy of Law;
Crime and Punishment. - Possibility to teach social and political philosophy as well as other introductory‑level classes.
- The teaching load is 3/3 and includes introductory and upper‑level courses.
