Description

The Department of Philosophy and Religion at Clemson University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy, a one year position renewable for up to 3 years. Employment to begin August 15, 2026
. Ph.D. in Philosophy required at that time. AOS:
Philosophy of law, AOC open.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach core courses in the Law, Liberty, and Justice concentration of the philosophy major:
Intro to Law, Liberty, and Justice;
Philosophy of Law;
Crime and Punishment. The ability to teach social and political philosophy as well as other intro-level classes would be an asset. The teaching load is 3/3 and includes introductory and upper-level courses.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Philosophy required at the time of appointment.
