DescriptionThe Clemson University College of Education seeks highly qualified candidates to fill course instruction needs in the Department of Education and Human Development. This part‑time opportunity to teach one or more courses is available on an as‑needed basis. Courses may be offered in spring, summer, and/or fall terms and in one or more modalities ranging from in‑person to asynchronous online. The start date varies according to departmental teaching needs.
The areas of content expertise required by the department align with the instructional areas of Special Education, Literacy Education, Educational Psychology, Learning Sciences, Counselor Education, and Research Methods. In addition, for qualified applicants, instructional opportunities in doctoral level content may be needed to include dissertation writing and support.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a related field;
Doctoral (or terminal degree) in a related field (required to teach in graduate‑level programs);
Expertise in content aligned with a departmental program area; A commitment to inclusive teaching, creating an inclusive learning and working environment, and working alongside persons with diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous higher education teaching experience;
Experience teaching with modality in which course is offered;
Practical experience in an applied field aligned with a departmental program area.
