Job SummaryUniversity Supervisors are clinical educators who serve as a liaison between Clemson University and partner school sites within our network. Supervisors provide supervision and mentorship for teacher candidates during their field experiences, providing support and feedback throughout the program. They also perform other duties as assigned.
Job Duties- 70% – Observe teacher candidates while conducting classroom instruction and evaluate candidate assignments.
- 15% – Mentor and evaluate teacher education candidates during their clinical experiences/student teaching.
- 15% – Liaise with the cooperating teacher, teacher candidate, and College of Education.

Responsibilities- Job Knowledge:
Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply them in varied situations. - Supervisory Responsibilities:
Not responsible for supervising employees. - Budgetary Responsibilities:
Fiscal responsibilities for the department's budget, including financial planning and managing fund allocation.

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Essential Personnel LevelNormal Operations – Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
