Job SummaryWith guidance from the teacher of record, provides lab instruction, guidance, and supervision to assigned students. Assists students with lab procedures, and integrates lab activities with corresponding classroom instruction. Ensures proper lab protocols and safety procedures are followed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Duties- 50% - Lab Instruction/Leadership:
Plans, directs, and evaluates the activities of students, graduate assistants, and others in the assigned lab. Plans and develops projects and research protocols and ensures safety and lab procedures are followed. Demonstrates techniques and procedures. Uses lab time creatively and effectively to ensure student mastery of dissection skills and knowledge. - 5% - Lab Equipment Maintenance:
Operates, maintains, repairs, and provides guidance on the proper use of complex laboratory equipment. - 15% - Safety:
Ensures proper safety protocols are followed during lab use. Executes proper procedures for reporting and remedying accidents or injuries. - 30% - Communication:
Interacts with the instructor of record, other faculty, instructional staff, graduate teaching assistants, and undergraduate teaching assistants, as needed. Provides instruction and guidance to students. Reports relevant information including progress of students to the teacher of record. Utilizes exceptional communications and interpersonal relationship skills to communicate with colleagues contributing to student success.

- Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
