Instructional Innovation Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:

Supports faculty and students in achieving the curricular and academic goals of Honors education. Provides guidance on best practices in Honors education and contributes to pedagogical development and innovation. Leads and supports cohort-based and community-engaged curricular initiatives, including instructions, workshops, and student mentoring. Teaches Honors seminars and directs the Interdisciplinary Honors program. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:
  • 30% - Curriculum development and faculty support (30):
    Identifies, designs, and leads curricular development initiatives for the Honors College. Develops pedagogical resources specific to Honors education and consults with faculty individually and in group settings to assist with Honors course development and revision. Conducts classroom observations and Honors instructional portfolio reviews. Develops resources for the integration of curricular and co-curricular offerings.
  • 30% - Honors instruction (30):
    Contributes to the instructional mission of the Honors College through serving as instructor of record for Honors seminars, Creative Inquiry groups, and/or directed studies and research courses.
  • 30% - Honors signature program leadership (30):
    Provides leadership or support for Honors College cohort-based and community-engaged curricular programs. Consistent with the needs of each program, participates in or directs student selection, leads curricular development and execution, liaises with community partners, manages programmatic activities, and mentors students individually and in groups. Participates in admissions and selection processes for the Honors College, National Scholars Program, and Breakthrough Scholars Program.
  • 10% - Interdisciplinary Honors (10):
    Oversees, innovates, and grows the Interdisciplinary Honors program. Grows the reach and adoption of the Interdisciplinary Honors option. Serves as a resource for faculty mentors and course instructors. Guides students and faculty through project development, approval, and execution.

Minimum Requirements:

A master's degree in education or another directly related field and experience in curriculum development.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

Expected Salary Range

70,000 - 80,000

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:

Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
