Under supervision, employee will utilize survey data collection instruments to provide as built information to be incorporated into the Clemson University Facilities Atlas. Other tasks will include general drafting in Auto CAD Civil 3D, topographical surveys, and maintaining inventory of survey tools and supplies.
Job Duties- 60% - Essential - Collect Survey Data:
Collects survey data using GNSS/GPS receiver, Robotic total station, and data collector with appropriate field survey software. Export files from data collector to office computer for processing and introduction to Auto CAD Civil 3D. - 30% - Essential - Collect/Study Data:
Downloads information and reflects in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Converts data to university mapping system & link with proper format. Assists in the maintenance of the university atlas & updates the location of underground utilities, buildings, roads, etc. Using benchmarks, control points, and GNSS coordinate systems. Stewards all archival data issued to and from the survey office. - 10% - Essential - GIS and Mapping:
Provides location of university utilities for construction. Provides as built information for renovation & new construction. Stakes out data from AutoCAD drawings to field installation per supervisor, architect, engineer or contractor. Will assist with data collection for certain GIS department needs.
Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent and progressively responsible field experience in geodetic surveying.

Compensation InformationAnticipated Salary Range: ($ 40,000.00 - $ 55,797.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate s previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson s compensation guidelines.
Essential Personnel LevelNormal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
