Postdoctoral Researcher Critical Mineral and Materials

We have an immediate opening for a postdoctoral/research scientist position available at the Materials Science and Engineering Department at Clemson University. This is a collaborative position with the Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL), providing access to and use of SRNL facilities and collaboration with SRNL scientists.

The primary responsibilities are to conduct research on critical minerals and materials (e.g., production/separation/recycling of battery and/or rare-earth materials), write scientific papers/file patents, assist the PI in writing proposals to secure funding, and mentor graduate students.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, physics, or related disciplines.
