Information Systems Architect – Advanced; Citrix Architect

Job Description

Clemson University is seeking an experienced Information Systems Architect - Advanced (Citrix Architect) to join the Infrastructure Services and Operations team. This is a 100% remote, full-time consulting role supporting the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) project, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering critical Tier 1-4 Citrix infrastructure support.

Location: 100% Remote (Candidate must reside in the continental U.S. and work EST hours)
City/State: Clemson, SC
Hours/Week: 40
Shift: Day
12 months from start date (with possible extension)

The successful candidate will have:

• 5+ years of technical experience in Citrix administration, including Xen Server in a production environment
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Windows Infrastructure technologies such as Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, ADFS, and WSUS
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with design and architecture of IT systems
• 5+ years of providing Tier 1 - Tier 4 support
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills using structured methodologies
• Familiarity with Citrix command-line tools and the ability to create SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

• Experience monitoring VDI platforms with tools such as Netscaler and ControlUP
• Citrix Administration Certification

• Must be able to troubleshoot complex systems in critical environments
• Identify root causes and implement action plans
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Support EST working hours regardless of time zone
