Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and assists in all property maintenance needs, including physical appearance and work orders. The role involves hands‑on maintenance of units and grounds, responding to work‑order requests, handling the turn‑and‑make‑ready process, and maintaining excellent resident relations through outstanding customer service. Rotating on‑call and some weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities- Participate in the daily operations of the property
- Respond to work orders per company policy
- Grounds and exterior upkeep, as needed
- Conduct the turn and make‑ready process
- Conduct regular health and safety inspections
- Inspect units for move‑in readiness
- Adhere to company policy and state/federal safety and fair‑housing laws
- Perform hands‑on maintenance
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with ideas to improve the property and position
- Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience (required)
- Experience in multi‑unit complexes or hotels (preferred)
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC (preferred)
- HVAC certification (preferred)
- Mechanical background (preferred)
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and work with heavy equipment
- Must live within 30 minutes of the property and possess a valid driver’s license
