The City of Clermont Fire Department is a fast-growing, ISO Class 1 and Internationally Accredited agency proudly serving one of Central Florida's most vibrant and rapidly expanding communities. We're growing our department funded through the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant, adding three grant funded firefighters and two city-funded positions, for a total of five new firefighters joining our ranks!

Clermont Fire currently provides non-transport ALS service and operates specialized teams including Technical Rescue, Haz Mat, Drone Operations, and Surface Water Rescue. The City of Clermont is also building a firefighter training facility, to further enhancing our commitment to professional excellence, innovation, and preparedness.

Work-Life Balance

    - Day Kelly (17 shifts per year off)

Under general supervision, performs responsible work involving the prevention and suppression of fires and delivery of other emergency and non-emergency services. The employee is responsible for responding to emergency situations and assisting in the control and resolution of the situation. The employee works within the scope of established fire department rules, regulations, and procedures, however, is expected to exercise considerable judgment and initiative, when required.

This position is non-exempt. Fair Labor Standards Act overtime provisions will apply.
