We are hiring an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our long-established team in Clevedon. If you are ready to leave high-pressure dealer targets behind for a proper technician-first environment, we offer a £30,000–£35,000 basic salary, permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (08:30–17:30, no weekends), and a structured setting where your technical skills are genuinely valued.

Your RoleAs a vital Vehicle Technician / Mechanic in our Clevedon workshop, you will:
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing
, multi-point inspections, and comprehensive maintenance tasks efficiently. - Diagnose, assess, and repair fundamental components
, including brakes, suspension, steering, and exhaust systems. - Execute fault-finding using modern diagnostic equipment to resolve complex mechanical issues.
- Perform precise mechanical repairs (experience with wet-belt engines is a plus!) while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
- Qualifications &
Experience:
Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance with proven experience in a garage or dealership setting. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it). - Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
An active MOT Tester licence is preferred, but not essential. - Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.
- Key Strengths: Strong mechanical foundation, solid attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently to high standards.
Situated in Clevedon (BS21), our workshop offers a quick and straightforward daily commute for candidates travelling from Bristol, Weston-super-Mare, Portishead, Nailsea, Yatton, and the wider North Somerset area.
