We are hiring a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our busy workshop team in Clevedon. We offer a structured, manufacturer-level garage environment where your technical skills and precision workmanship are genuinely respected, supported, and rewarded.
The Rewards- Salary: £34,000 – £40,000 per year basic (Positioned right within our target range, depending on experience and technical skill level).

Your RoleAs a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Clevedon workshop, you will:
- Carry out vehicle servicing
, routine maintenance, safety inspections, and mechanical repairs to strict manufacturer standards. - Inspect and assess core systems
, including brakes, suspension, steering, exhausts, and lighting. - Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately using modern diagnostic software and equipment.
- Work with wet-belt engines and modern powertrains (advantageous but not essential).
- Maintain precise job cards and documentation while adhering strictly to workshop health and safety guidelines.
- Qualifications &
Experience:
NVQ / IMI Level 2 or Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent qualification) with proven hands-on experience in vehicle diagnosis and servicing. - Licensing & Eligibility: Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential.
- Key Strengths: Strong mechanical fault-finding ability, attention to detail, reliability, and a professional, quality-focused mindset.
Based in Clevedon (North Somerset, BS21), our workshop offers an easy, straightforward commute for candidates travelling from Portishead, Weston-super-Mare, Nailsea, Yatton, Bristol, Avonmouth, and surrounding Somerset areas.
