Metro Health Brecksville Emergency Department
Bi-weekly Hours48 hours
Shift7p-7a; rotating weekends, rotating holidays
Primary Patient Population- Acutely ill pediatric to adult patients
- Patient Assessments
- Patient Triage
- IV insertion, blood draws, Foley catheter insertion
- Time management, critical thinking, delegating
- Paramedics, Nurse Interns, Providers
- 16 beds
- Acute Stroke Ready

- Participation in the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS).
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS certifications or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Current TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year of hire.
- Current NIHSS Stroke certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- PRN must possess current certifications upon hire.
- BSN
- Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
