Retail Store Sales Associate

The Retail Store Sales Associate will assist the team in maintaining outstanding customer service, delivering product knowledge, merchandising, signing, pricing, POS operations, and loss prevention in adherence to all company policies and procedures. The role emphasizes teamwork, curiosity, and care in serving Blick customers, the Arts, and local communities.

• Consistently deliver superior customer service by combining sales, product knowledge, and training to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Complete and utilize Blick Onboarding Training, Blick Sales Training, Preferred Customer Program, Special Orders, and Custom Services Training from NDS.
• Provide customer service at the Custom Services desk, including scheduling appointments, consulting on Custom Services projects, taking orders, and delivering completed orders in store.
• Display an energetic and positive attitude with all customer interactions.
• Assist in coordinating merchandise set-ups, maintain knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and implement store setup as directed by management.
• Follow directions and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Report low stock levels, inventory discrepancies, and customer product requests to management as needed.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of a variety of traditional fine art mediums preferred, including paints, markers, pencils, printmaking materials, clay, papers, etc.

• Availability to work flexible schedules including day/evening shifts, weekends and holidays as required by the business needs.
• Regular attendance in accordance with the retail attendance policy.
• Associates in this role are scheduled an average of 15 - 25 hours per week based on availability and needs of the business.

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds while using appropriate lifting techniques and following safety rules.
• Prolonged walking, standing, and climbing ladders.

• Minimal travel in the local area may be required.

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
