Position Summary Information
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with community college partners to promote and highlight Delta State University programs covered by Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
- Supervise, train, and provide ongoing direction to the team, ensuring recruitment activities, outreach efforts, territory management, and student follow up align with institutional transfer enrollment goals.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with community college stakeholders, including faculty and staff, to effectively promote Delta State University programs.
- Develop and implement transfer recruitment strategies designed to increase applications, admissions, and enrollment from community colleges and other transfer populations.
- Utilize recruitment and enrollment data to evaluate the effectiveness of transfer initiatives, track progress toward enrollment goals, and make recommendations for improving recruitment strategies.
- Conduct regular meetings with community college faculty to educate them about the pathways and opportunities available to their students at Delta State University.
- Serve as an articulation adviser, providing guidance to students regarding the applicability of their community college coursework at Delta State University within the framework of the MOUs.
- Work closely with the Transfer Recruiter to facilitate the recruitment of community college students, ensuring all admission paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Attend and represent Delta State University at community college events, transfer fairs, and relevant outreach activities with the Transfer Recruiter.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the academic and administrative aspects of both Delta State University and partner community colleges.
- Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeting community college students.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in higher education, especially related to transfer and articulation agreements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to travel frequently to community colleges, recruitment events, and other off campus locations.
- Experience using customer relationship management systems, student information systems, proficiency in using Microsoft Office or other enrollment related technology preferred.
- Knowledge of academic advising and transfer processes in higher education.
