Job Title: Sr. Controls / Automation Engineer

Location: ON-SITE – Cleveland, Mississippi (38732)

Type: W2 contract (Third-party or C2C "Corp-to-Corp" arrangements will NOT be considered)

Work Authorization: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States with active employment documents. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Project Focus: Focus on a new business startup, including:

  • Installation, commissioning, and debugging of multiple new automated device assembly machines in existing cleanroom space.
  • Supporting equipment improvements within Baxter’s change control process.
  • Validation and qualification activities for new assembly and ancillary equipment.
  • Assisting the Project Manager with project planning, controls, and procurement.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and modify precision assembly and manufacturing equipment.
  • Prepare estimates for tasks and projects.
  • Coordinate with plant, corporate groups, contractors, and vendors.
  • Manage start-up, debugging, and commissioning of new manufacturing processes.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support for automated assembly systems.
  • Communicate proactively and solve problems effectively.
  • Adhere to FDA Design Control standards and maintain SOPs, forms, and logs.
  • Generate technical documents, reports, and interpret drawings/schematics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Computer Engineering preferred).
  • 2+ years experience with automation controls, PLCs, HMIs, servos, vision systems, etc.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs & HMI’s is required.
  • 2+ years in Engineering/Manufacturing, preferably FDA-regulated.
  • Additional preferred experience:
    Magnemotion conveyor, ultrasonic welding, Staubli robots, Cognex/Keyence vision systems.
  • Design software experience (AutoCAD, Solid Works) is a plus.
  • Lean Manufacturing skills are advantageous.
