Quality Technician

Position Summary

At Baxter Healthcare Corporation in Cleveland, MS, we are seeking a Quality Technician to join our dynamic team. This role supports our modern, automated manufacturing processes and plays a key part in ensuring product quality and compliance.

• Perform tests and document test results.
• Perform product sampling.
• Conduct functional testing of products.
• Align with all specifications, procedures, and forms that pertain to the area.
• Perform department audits as required.
• Assist with running protocols.
• Review specification and SOP changes.
• Write SOPs for the area of responsibility.
• Adhere to plant environmental health and safety regulations.
• Carry out any additional duties as assigned by supervision or management.

• High school diploma or GED and/or 0-3 years of related experience.
• Successful completion of the Career Readiness Certificate.
• Capability to lift, push, and pull weights up to 25 pounds; lift items above shoulder height up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to reach above shoulder to perform work, climb ladders, bend/stoop, and stand for long periods of time.
• Capacity to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to perform effectively with minimal oversight.
• Willingness to cross‑train within the area.
• Adaptability to changing requirements.
• Accountability for actions taken.
• Attention to detail.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with different organizational levels.
• Experience with controlled documentation and specifications is a plus.
• Mathematical competence.
• Knowledge of measurement methods.
• Proficiency in using weight scales.
• Competence in accurate sampling techniques (e.g., visual inspections, dimensional).
• Ability to perform SPC techniques.
• Familiarity with computer systems.

The estimated base salary for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 annually. Salary may vary based on market data, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
