Salary: $58,240.00 - $ per year.

• Plan and conduct financial compliance and operational audits of designated City departments or divisions according to accepted accounting principles.
• Supervise staff auditors and assist external auditors.
• Prepare auditing reports.
• Audit inventories, cash functions, and outside contractor documents.
• Prepare accounting policies and procedures and footnote calculations.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.

• Bachelor's in Business Administration from an accredited four (4)‑year college or university.
• Three years of full‑time paid experience in auditing.
• Internal audit or government audit experience preferred.
• Having a CFE, CPA or CIA is helpful.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Must maintain strict client confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites, especially Excel, and working knowledge of various computerized accounting software packages.
• Prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
• Must possess a valid State of Ohio Driver's License.
• Individual must be able to lift and carry a minimum of thirty (30) pounds.

• Veterans’ preference will be awarded, when applicable to eligible veterans in accordance with Civil Service Rules 4.40E, 4.40F and 4.40G.
• Proof of active service or a DD Form 214 must be presented to the Commission at the time of filing the application for the examination in which credit is sought.
• Applicants with an honorable or honorable‑condition discharge receive an additional five (5) points added to their raw exam score; those with more than fifteen percent (15%) service‑connected disability receive an additional ten (10) points.
• Only DD Form 214 (long form) or an official armed service document indicating type of discharge or separation and dates of active service will be accepted as proof of active service.
