A growing real estate organization is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to support its vertically integrated multifamily portfolio. This role will focus on financial reporting, month‑end close, budgeting, audit support, and partnering with operations teams.
Responsibilities- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
- Support affordable housing reporting and compliance (LIHTC/HUD experience a plus)
- Coordinate audit support and work with external auditors
- Partner with property management and asset management teams
- Help improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, homebuilding, construction or public accounting
- Strong Excel skills required;
Yardi experience preferred
