People Architects is partnering with a growing organization to identify a Temporary to Permanent Payroll & Accounts Payable Administrator who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in keeping critical business operations running smoothly.

We are looking for someone who enjoys ownership, notices inconsistencies before others do, and proactively solves problems. The ideal person will become a trusted resource across payroll, accounts payable, and administrative operations while helping relieve workload from a busy team.

This role is equally focused on accounts payable, vendor coordination, record maintenance, and day‑to‑day operational support.

Responsibilities
  • Support and process bi‑weekly payroll through ADP Workforce Now
  • Review timecards, payroll inputs, deductions, and employee changes for accuracy
  • Enter payroll adjustments, bonuses, garnishments, and supplemental payments
  • Audit payroll data and identify discrepancies before processing
  • Support leave‑of‑absence administration and payroll impacts
  • Coordinate payroll‑related updates between payroll, benefits, and retirement systems
  • Respond to employee payroll‑related questions
  • Process vendor invoices, payments, and remittances
  • Manage AP workflows and payment schedules
  • Reconcile invoices and investigate discrepancies
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding and credit applications
  • Maintain accurate payment records and supporting documentation
  • Support bookkeeping and accounting activities as needed
  • Maintain employee, vendor, and operational records
  • Support data cleanup projects and system updates
  • Update company documentation, labels, and reference materials
  • Coordinate office supplies and vendor relationships
  • Maintain organized files and records
  • Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and administrative efficiency
Qualifications (required and preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll administration, accounts payable, accounting support, or office administration
  • Experience working in ADP Workforce Now or a similar payroll platform
  • Accounts payable processing experience
  • Strong Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, reconciliation, and data validation
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal direction
  • Experience supporting both payroll and accounts payable functions
  • Experience in manufacturing, operations, distribution, or industrial environments
  • Experience with Employee Navigator
  • Experience supporting union and non‑union employee populations
  • Basic bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Experience with vendor onboarding, payment processing, and credit applications
