One of twelve Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) in the state, it works with local service provider organizations and the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) to form the state's public aging services network, collaborating to create opportunities for older Ohioans to receive needed home and community services and supports, and to age successfully in their own homes and communities.

The Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including the accounts payable desk, the accounts receivable desk, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.
Job Duties- Provide timely and accurate payment and receipt processing by processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Input credit and debits into the accounting system in support of the payables and receivables work.
- Develop and maintain reports and files on the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing.
- Input general ledger entries for account changes.
- Develop and maintain reports and files on asset and liability account balances.
- Develop and maintain regular reports via the company’s accounting system.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- All staff has the responsibility and authority to propose ways to improve quality and fully participate in quality improvement efforts.
- Associate’s degree or two years of business, accounting, bookkeeping, medical/insurance claim processing and/or human services.
- Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures reflective of the financial services industry.
- Proven, solid Excel skills and exposure to an automated accounting system.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Detail oriented, with ability to prioritize job duties, multi‑task, and complete assignments within deadlines.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to record and validate information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work efficiently with others in a professional manner.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Must have current and valid Ohio driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance, and a car available during work hours.
